Work Experience:
Undergraduate Researcher, Brain Research and Imaging for Neurorehabilitation (BRAIN) Lab, McGill University (January 2023 - September 2024)
- Cleaned and analyzed data, conducted literature review, and drafted a soon-to-be-published manuscript about a novel treatment paradigm for those with chronic stroke.
- Received an award of $8,800 to investigate the neural correlates of long-COVID. Analyzed β-burst characteristics in long-COVID patients using Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn).
- Served as a consultant to colleagues, refining analysis methodologies to ensure statistical rigor.
Research Intern, J. Philip Kistler Stroke Research Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School (June – August 2022)
- Performed data abstraction from the medical records of over 200 patients for a study assessing the efficacy of Left Atrial Appendage Closure in preventing brain hemorrhages in Atrial Fibrillation patients. Reviewed relevant journal articles and participated in laboratory meetings.
Community Involvement:
Managing Editor: Head of Outreach, McGill Science Undergraduate Research Journal (October 2023 - Present)
- Made edits to and facilitated the peer-review of original scientific research of various disciplines.
- Responsible for a team of four, lead MSURJ’s outreach operations and ensure the longevity and reputation of the journal are maintained.
Awards and Honours:
Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Undergraduate Research Award (Summer 2024)
- Granted by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the $8,800 USRA was awarded for research under the supervision of Dr. Marie-Hélène Boudrias of McGill’s BRAIN Lab.
Dean’s Honour List (2022 - 2022)
- Designated as being in the top 10% of students in the Faculty of Arts at McGill, in terms of GPA.
